Bill C-391 is now before a parliamentary committee for study. Before it comes back for a final vote by Members of Parliament, take action.
E-mail, fax or talk to your MP and let him or her know that:
- you support the gun registry.
- the registry works – since gun owners were required to register rifles and shotguns, spousal deaths by guns have been reduced by 50%.
- the registry is one of the most concrete measures taken by Parliament to reduce violence against women.
- police across the country use the records in the registry over 10,000 times a day to keep our communities safe and to protect themselves on the job.
- they should vote to keep our communities safe.
