The Canadian Labour Congress has pledged $5,000 toward an international effort to help build and strengthen the labour movement in the Arab countries and has asked its affiliates to consider doing the same. As part of this network building, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) has recently announced the opening of a trade union office in Egypt, where ILO core labour standards have been ratified but fail to be implemented.  Read More...
