CLC president Ken Georgetti and leaders of public sector unions are warning the federal government not to use the budget to cut public services or attack federal pension plans in order to pay off the deficit. “Let’s be clear,” Georgetti said, “Canada’s labour movement will fight unfair cuts.”

He was joined at a Parliament Hill news conference by John Gordon, national president of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and Gary Corbett, national president of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC).
