Message to politicians: keep the long gun registry

Posted: Thursday, 16 September 2010

The fate of the federal long gun registry is being decided by Members of Parliament. Conservative MPs are supporting Bill C-391, which would scrap the registry and destroy all of its records. The House of Commons committee

that reviewed the bill has produced a motion recommending that it not proceed. The vote on that motion will be close. The long gun registry makes communities safer and saves lives. The CLC is working hard in a coalition of groups working to keep the registry.
