Canadian Labour Congress Policy Statement on Copyright and Net Neutrality

Posted: Tuesday, 3 November 2009

The Canadian Labour Congress is leading the way on addressing copyright and net neutrality issues after the CLC’s Executive Council passed a comprehensive policy paper on October 27, 2009.

The policy is the result of discussion and consensus between representatives of the CLC’s affiliated unions who represent thousands of Canadian cultural, educational, library, health care, service, industrial and manufacturing workers from all walks of life. The policy is a recognition that Canadian workers play critical roles as creators, owners and users of copyrighted material.
